METHODOLOGY (862B)

/pkg/umbrellix.net/prog/lsuitcase/head to include methodology

This package's headers install to itself/include/libsuitcase. If that's on the filesystem, it may be as simple as a hard link. In the source tree, they are just in head/, which is a directory that upkg-install(8) is perfectly in its rights to obliterate.

It also exports a global path, which must be presented to the administrator for disambiguation if there are any other identically named paths on the system. That path is /include/libsuitcase. On BSDs and Debian, global paths should be installed to /usr/local, except for /cmd (packages/command - for legacy reasons, /command is restricted to names approved by Daniel Bernstein and Paul Jarc) which should be installed directly at / . Custom installations could install them directly at /usr, or directly at / with /usr being symlinked to / .
